Red Chandeliers

I resolute to take a monthly family photo for year 2007. :D So neglecting the family photoes. I used to snap a few for 2006 but not sufficient to capture the stages of our family life. This is by far, the better shot of the lots that I've taken as Seth is in his happy mood today. When asked to look into the camera, he was smiling all the way till the light flashed. We went to National Museum of Singapore . I've never been to the Museum for whole of my life. I always felt a pity when they closed the Museum for renovation. Love the experience of going there. Admiring the visage of the old and new wing. Fabulous building. :) You should drop by some day to check it out. this is one fun thing we did at the museum new wing. The video capturing the visitors image and portray on the screened wall as long as 2 table tennis tables. hee....nice, I like it. Roaming around the visage, you enjoy the natural lighting as the new wing are built with glass panels. Nice cafe and chill out place ...

looking pooped! Welcoming 2007!

Classic look of Seth, when he is going to poo, he'll look this way....... *hhahahahah* ya, like real. He loves to do this action, when he is very excited! But he also knows that when he can't poop, we'll look like this with him, just to motivate his bowel movements. We are at Island Cafe, Vivocity. He was enjoying the scenery outside the cafe. Traffic going by, people walking and smoking outside, and he can't help but keep waving and smiling at them. We walked lots today. Morning went to town, Takashimaya and then head down to United Square. Got his laptop changed. After which went to Vivocity to buy him his rocking horse. He has so many rides now at home. His birthday gifts; tricycle from the scrapbook gals. doggie motorised ride from Lynn & Lai Soon. Antz ride which we bought for him before he was born. Newly acquired, 911 coupe from little tikes (daddy's Xmas gift for him) rocking horse from little tikes (seeing him loving and refuse to move from the ride we ...

purple = barney

That's the meaning for Seth. Whenever he sees purple now, he'll say, "barney". It's really fast, a week, last week of the year, of Dec is coming to an end. That's really amazing how our year have passed. for the last week of Dec the recap about Seth's milestone as follow: 1. talks a lot like, "bye, barney" "bye, car car" (to his new little tikes ride) "bye, xxx" (he starts to speak in 2-3 words) "raining", "wet", MRT (not really clear) "Where, Taxi?" "Where, XX" (XX = People) "Khim Khim" (Marg) "Lock Hoh" (Teochew for raining) "Mai" (Teochew for don't want) "dancing" "Zai Jian" "1-2-3" Oh, my brain too slow to recall all but he is really talketive. Aiyo.... Besides, he starts to have his "xing ge". When he is being scolded, he'll show the "black face". When you l...

Time of remembrance

So happy to see my 2nd elder bro, Jon getting married on 23rd Dec. It was a joyous occasion which was celebrated by close families and friends. Took lots of photoes and hopefully they are up to mark for the newly weds. Their Wedding is going to be held on 18th March 2007. Seth had a tremendous time at the beach front restaurant. The very busy boy was spotted with a pink floral top. He ran up and down the ramp, laughters resounding when seeing his god-sis jumping up and down, trying to get the helium filled balloons from the ceiling. The kids were happily releasing most of the helium filled balloons up into the sky. It's not everytime, we get to do that, isn't it? Can see that my mom and Marg's mom is getting along pretty well and chatted happily. First time, we met the family of Marg. They were such nice people and with such humility. The daddy is very smily too. Jon's so blessed with a beautiful wife who is so friendly and loving towards him and the family. May they ...

On leave

It should be a deserving break for me, 1 week. When I am planning for the leave period, I wish it could be on the Christmas period where I can enjoy the long break, however, my colleague has chose to pick the later dates and therefore I have to go on leave earlier. Honestly, loads of backlog to do. I can never go on leave with peace of mind but I can't be so cruel to myself and family right? I really need to have family time, as I have been neglecting Ed and Seth lots since my working hours are crazy. I hope to have this period to spend quality time with them. As Seth is approaching 18 months, we realise that he is getting really temperamental and seems to be throwing tantrums much more when he could not get his way. It makes me realise as well, that I've neglected him soooo much that could have got him to behave so. The juggling of work and family is not easy, definitely esp for any working mommy. Somehow, I can never find the balance. Just like last week, I was pushing Seth a...

over the weekend

Weeks have passed and I've been slack. Slack in updating my blog, and updating on Seth's development. Bad mommy again... Baby Seth have got some new experiences over the weeks and here they are. - Barney Show @ United Square on 1st Dec 2006 Up Close with Barney himself, kinda gave Seth a "shock". The purple dino has been Seth all time fav for the moment. Seth can go home and watch Barney every night!!! So you can see, he is totally into Barney now..... Babies Proms 2006, 2nd Dec It's definitely an eye opener for Seth! He seems to enjoy the environment, the music (probably the familiarity since when he was in my womb, I listen to classical). The sad part is......all the photos I've snapped are gone! File corruption in the CF card and so very unhappy and peeved! Guess have to wait for next year... *sob sob*

His First at the Hair Salon

There's always the first. Seth first haircut at the salon, was on 5th Nov 2006. It was as impromptu as can be, we were in church on Sunday, after that went for our lunch. As we were at Happy Kidz Toys R Us to buy a toy car for Seth, we saw that there weren't many crowd at Junior League and got Seth for his hair cut. At first, he was ok, sitting on the chair, and the LCD TV was playing Barney (Seth's fav). When the hair stylist brought out his scissors and razor, oh manz, Seth starts to pull me towards him (as I was sitted besides him) and kept asking me to carry him! We coaxed him, get him toys etc. Thank God, he is still ok and sat there. However, after awhile, he simply refuse to sit even with toys. I've no choice but to carry him and sat on the chair with him while his hair was being cut. I must say I am proud that he did not cry so loudly after all despite repeated refusals. :) Now he really looks more boy and no longer the baby hair untrimmed. Update on myself, I ...

why it always have to be so....

that the weekend, when it's a long weekend, ended so quickly? No matter how long the holiday mood is, the time is never enough for us, to spend time, to rest, to enjoy the little things in life...... Maybe I should not complain too much when others who need to work when there's a holiday, isn't it? ("X) It was so enjoyable just to know that we have more time to be with Seth, accompanying him, wakes up late with him. Having to spend time at home or outside, it's a bliss for us. Despite the tantrums he thrown at times, in the car especially, I still love him as much. When I was compiling the photoes taken over the weekend, I was surprised we have snapped almost 350 shots of Seth. Heee...... There are some that are so scrap-worthy! I printed out 2 photos and can't wait to find the time to scrap, but alas! Got to wait till after next week lor..... I love the photo paper of Kodak that I've bought recently at Cold Storage. 20 Pcs of A4 for SGD9.90! WOW! The color...

Weekends-Counting my blessings

Weekends.... to me, is ever precious as I start to become a ftwm. I treasure the weekends I have as I can break away from work. Priority goes to spending time with Olive Tree and Seth. I don't mind waking up early as usual and have a longer day to go as long as it's spent with my boys or my hobby. (",) The amazing thing I did over this weekend, can be seen here . Ya, as crazy as I can get, I did an overnight crop with Anne-Marie and Jen. Gosh! I feel so de-stressed! Having been able to scrap again! hahaha...as if I have been let out of the jail and step into the fresh air with all things refreshing! Thanks, Jen and Anne-Marie for the time to do the impromptu crop. Jen and I continued throughout Saturday to complete our projects. *Aren't we crazy?* This weekend was spent at home most of the time. But I never felt so accomplished for quite awhile, as I manage to have ME time. Besides, I enjoyed the moments, when I start to snap pictures of Seth. He is really funny and ch...

Hello! Anybody home???

Kiddo has been on the phone so frequent lately. Practically plucked out the house fixed line phone from the rj11 and let him play. He talks as if there's really someone over at the other side of the line.....it's really funny. Another scrap deprived week and not able to do much with so much stash on hands. Its getting really overboard with no personal time to scrap. Really missed my scrapping nights and scrapping buddy too. hiaz. Clara said it right, priorities and priorities. When I can, I would wanna spend more time with Seth and Ed. Especially now that I almost knock off work after 8pm daily. Wished I could manage my work better. Tonight is just the very rare night I keep myself awake to watch the tv programmes and do my nails. ALAS! terrible manicure manz! but heck lar. better then nothing. Ed is having the bak zharm on his left eye. Totally big and irritating. Hope that the bak zharm be gone soon, he is on 2 days mc but was totally sweet to clean up the house and now the l...

Such Joy

IF only we could always have such a joyful nature as he is. Seeing him, enjoying himself so much when he was playing with Marg, laughing from eye to eye. He is so adorable in our eyes and when he is at his disobedient stage, he knows how to appease us by giving us his super duper cheeky look. That's our Seth Benjamin Goh. I can never get angry at him for very long. Even if I am really scolding him out for his mischief. As he grows older, the disciplinary action become more harsh, inevitable? I tried to reason things out with him, telling him why he shouldn't do things this or that way. But guess not all the time it'll work. I know have to be all patience but I ended up become short tempered. Hiaz. I will have to constantly tell myself, he's my favorite boy boy and I will learn to discipline him with utmost patience. hee....i will try Technorati Tags: ourblessedseth , mightychampion

Juggling work and family

Seth is running a temperature with running nose. I am suppose to go back office to clear my work and finalise my tender documents for submission. On the other hand, seeing Seth unwell with temperature ranging between 37.5-38.5 deg really worries me. Though he is still as active, i can't help but keeps on monitoring him. I don't know how to juggle it well between work and family. As this isn't the first time it happens when I am working that Seth isn't well. Trials after trials. Kinda draining me out. Moreover, not enough rest. Hiaz. It's upon Jesus's strength that I drawn to continue working, else I would have quit long ago

and these are men.....

Just when you thought you survived the mid week and wished that everything would goes on smoothly and you could enjoy your holiday, your eldest brother called and shout into your ears at the early morning when you are about to kick start a hard day's work. He just slash you continuously leaving you with no counter attack to his knife sharp words! He couldn't be bothered if you are stressing out and stress you even further to be a responsible daughter, to forego the "simple pleasure" you need, and opt to sponsor the so long overdue furniture set for your mom. As if, you never take notice of the incessant requests by mom to get that furniture set changed???? However, can I say that if I have to forego the "simple pleasure" of traveling to short trip, can he sacrifice that 42" LCD TV that he has ordered and use that to pay for the furniture set instead? Anyway, his kids won't have time to watch TV with the piles of homework on their desks that are comp...

my boy

We capture moments in life, via camera, helping us to remember the incidents, the phases we are at. This is the moment, that I captured, of Seth, being a......FISH MONGER? heee.....bad mommy. Of Seth trying to be a fish monger. This is the stage whereby he loves to "help" carrying stuffs for us. The stage where he will not let go. Letting go would have mean, wanting his life..... It takes coaxing, takes exchanging of stuffs with him to make him let go. But when all else fails, I would just let him cries till his heart's content. Mind you, his cries are getting a lot louder, when I can't stand, you know what I would do. However, there are days, most of the time, he is simply so adorable to hold to love and to touch. Thank you Lord, for such a wonderful boy. :) We just want to give thanks that after a hard day's work, we are greeted with the brightest smile we can get, from our darling boy.

Seen through my eyes

Took all these photos using my newly acquired Digital Rebel XT. I must say, till now very pleased with it. Even knowing that the EOS 400D is coming out in another 2 weeks, I guess I can't complain at all. This Camera is way too cool and fun to use. Also, being lighter comparing to the nikon D50 or D70, it's much easier to carry around. What's more, to go along with my new crumpler camera bag! OWW! What more can I ask for? Need to save for a new lens, 17mm-85mm. :) To add to my collection. Last week, we went to Botanic Garden, tried out the camera for the first time. Today, we went to Sembawang Park. Getting more comfortable using the camera and taking much better shots comparing with last week's try out. the rugged cross botanic garden-the railing Sembawang Park-overlooking the jetty the 1st bump on the face in mommy's arms happy as i am my little guy the stroll catch me in your arms TFL! fireworks and charming lad!

By King's demand, the photos that were taken on National Day. :) Though the night's experience were pretty bad due to the super long jam, but the photos taken were still pretty good. The part when Seth enjoyed watching the fly pass, the parachuters, and fireworks, made it all worthwhile. Today, we went to Plaza Singapura and Botanic Garden. It was with hidden agenda, as usual to go to PS. ;) Guess my fellow scrappers buddies know what it was. Told Olive Tree that I wanted to go watch the charismatic, handsome Louis Koo! hahaha... and indeed we had caught quite a good sight of him, but the photography of him was tedious. Thanks to Olive Tree for withstanding the nonsense lar. But for the dear sister, Jen, who have to missed seeing Louis Koo, due to class, I asked Olive Tree to take these photos of him. (",) here they are, not really professional photos but hope good enough for you, JEN! :D Louis really looks cool and sauve in person. He is aloof in appearance but with good ...
