How was the Chinese New Year?

Seth on Red Banner

Busy with visiting family, relatives and friends. In fact, not having enough rest and took the slight hiatus from Digi-scrap. The hands got so itchy, the mind got so preoccupied that on the 4th day of Lunar New Year, I've got to go back down to my hobby.

BB Seth had such fun time visiting, being carried around by various people. Trying to "print" the faces in his mind. He was really a good sport with no inhibition when he was carried by strangers. My dad was busy advertising that I bring BB Seth out when he was very young so that he'll not be afraid of meeting people and no separation anxiety. He was so happy and smiling whenever he is in front of the camera or he is being teased at. Damn Cute!

We ate and ate. Olive Tree played mahjong on Lunar 1st day till 4 plus in the morning. Thank God it was at our graceland. I got to sleep and BB Seth was ok throughout the night with me breast-fed him when he wakes up.

This year was a year of reconciliation between my mom and my dad's 2nd and 3rd bro's wives. Hiaz, a long story but at least now they are in talking terms.

Jon and Marg went NZ, Chloe and family went HK. So they left the same day returned on Sat evening and Fri night respectively. I missed them.... Hee... Jas and Derick went Koh Samui, so nice! Both the couples (Jon&Marg Derick&Jas) were tanned tanned tanned!

I didn't really get over the chinese new year mood yet, as I am still seeing red, (ang baos always in bag). HAHA! Who knows when we will suddenly see someone we've known and then have to give ang baos, right? This coming Sat, we will be having advance Lunar 15th Day dinner at my mom's. It's actually Keefe's birthday celebration too! Hiaz, no choice but to appear as courtesy at Lynn's house and then head back AMK for dinner. I so missed my mom's steamboat!

top of the M

Captured on the night when we had our very first dining experience at Top of the M . The occasion: celebrate Jon's Birthday. It's Seth very first experience, but obviously to him, it's just like any kind of dinner. As for me, I've to wait for 3 decades to be able to have such an experience! bwhaahhaha....what a funny thought. The restaurant has such a quiet ambience and at certain times, Seth was bubbling so loudly that we were so embarrassed. The waiters and waitresses were so nice to come over and play with Seth. One even offered chocolate truffles filled with mint ice cream for Seth! Too bad, my darling son don't know how to appreciate and those went into our tummies instead. (**,) You can see he enjoyed himself loads. Playing and being entertained. He was even entertained by the live strings group (or whatever you call that) with "You are my sunshine" and "Twinkle Twinkle Little Stars". That amazed him! We had a dinner set for 4 of us. Road Condition

Ok, I am not in the best mood now after been trapped in the terrible jam from home to mom's. Gosh! Journey took 45 mins! Can you imagine? Even how early we get out of the house, the traffic is really bad. Olive Tree has a morning meeting in office and can't be late for that. So I make it a point to get ready earlier and out of the house by 8am. However, the jam at the expressway started at the tpe exit and we got to take the slip road and travel by YCK. It seems that we got out of a jam to enter another! I can feel his frustration over the jam and mood is bad. He was driving / flooring the accelerator type. Hiaz...... By the time we reached mom's. I am already drained. Knowing Seth would wanna be carried up my mom's, I was harsh to him and asked him to walk by himself and not be lazy. Me having to lug the bags and stuff. I can't be carrying him up even it's only a few floors. Especially now in my 2nd Tri. Not forgetting now, I am hungry again, and nothing to eat...

A fruitful week

Yes, I've went for my interview with the prospecting company and I am relieved that everything went on pretty well and I finally stepped out of my comfort zone as a SAHM. :D How fruitful was the week? Hmmm. These are the things I've done: 1. Went to IT show and got myself the ink cartridges for my HP Photosmart 2575, the TwinMOS 1GB SD with free Card Reader/Writer . Shopped till I nearly dropped! 2. Went for the interview and managed to catch up with ex-colleagues. 3. Purchased an IKEA SET Workstation! Fantastic and great for storing my SB Stuffs and doing SB works. It's really value for money. Was selling @ $365, now on sale, selling @ $145! There were some hiccups when we bought the the SET Workstation at IKEA. When we reached home and I was eager to get Olive Tree to assemble the workstation, we found out that the hardwares were not in the package! Totally a wet blanket! Next day, we had to drop by IKEA again to get the hardwares and IKEA was apologetic enough for the m...
