I ever thought of taking up some photography course to improve my photography skills. However, the improvement will not be seen unless you have been doing lots of practice shoots (including taking thousands of photos!). It's great to have a crash course on how to positions your subjects, the sceneries, special moments, and the candid shots (we term it, journalistic shots), isn't it? I've stumbled across some websites that have tips on brushing up your photography skills and I bet it's useful and also easy for the layman to understand.
Kodak Consumer Photography--Provides you quick 10 digital photography tips to shoot like almost a pro. The site share more insight to not only digital photography but also on getting great prints. Obviously, they are also promoting their online photo sharing and printing services.
MacDevCenter's Top Ten Digital Photography Tips--Quick and Easy tricks plus tips on how to handle and store your digital camera.
Lexar's Tips+Lessons Great tips and photos by Pro Photographers and their photo gallery.
CNET's share holidays digital photos with friends and family--It's a workshop that I am currently attending. It's really easy to attend such course online whereby it fits your schedule and timing. Anytime when you feel like going online, just a click and you are on your way to attending the lessons.
If the above isn't yet stimulating you to take breathtaking shots, try these following sites.
chromasia--I love the simplicity of the photoblog with fantastic photography skills and the photographer is so amazing to capture the moments of the lifetime.
Tim Chong's collection--A local photographer who travels and takes journalistic style photos like National Geographic, cool!
pBase Galleries--Fantastic photo sharing and hosting site. The galleries are stored with tonnes of amateurs, professional photographers works. If I have the extra cash to spare, I would not mind buying the photo storage services they offer. Or someone would be so sweet and kind to give me this Christmas gift??
BB Seth's taking his nap now that I am able to do some work online. I've yet to update my students progress reports as this weekend is the last lesson! I am so lazy! BTW, I've decided to continue another term with Pasir Ris's BJG with a sweet increment and taking up extra class too.
